The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at IIT Jammu successfully hosted a Two-Day Introductory Workshop on Systematic Reviews, as part of the MANTHAN series (Chapter 11), on January 21–22, 2026, at the Jagti Campus.

Led by Dr. Prachi Pundir from The George Institute for Global Health, New Delhi, the workshop offered participants a comprehensive journey through the systematic review process.

Day 1 focused on foundational concepts, helping attendees distinguish between systematic, narrative, and other review types, formulate precise review questions, and develop protocols with hands-on database search exercises.

Day 2 emphasized the analytical and interpretative stages, including screening, data management, risk of bias assessment, narrative synthesis, and meta-analysis, reinforced through interactive group activities and practical Excel exercises.

The workshop concluded with discussions on project management, ethical considerations, team coordination, and next steps, equipping participants with actionable insights to conduct high-quality systematic reviews and strengthen evidence-based research skills.
